Laura joined Shoosmiths in May 2017 shortly after she qualified as a Solicitor. During her training, Laura gained experience in general private client and family practice which has given her a rounded knowledge of legal issues that many of us may face during our lives.
Laura’s day to day work includes acting for professional Deputies in relation to the general management of protected parties’ property and financial affairs and assisting lay Deputies in making Court of Protection applications.
Laura’s work means that she has close contact with elderly clients who have been diagnosed with degenerative conditions like Dementia and vulnerable adults with mental health difficulties. Laura has a particular interest in determining issues of capacity and drafting Statutory Wills applications for individuals who do have capacity to make their own Will.
